My very own Scholar! 

For those that don't know, I suggested this idea to Neil and he went off and made it and it is perfect.    We decided on the name Scholar as it contains no blades so therefore it can be carried everywhere (even at school) and it has a pen, ruler and scissors (pencil case type tools).

What you may not be able to make out from the picture is that Neil has taken the edge off of the orange peeler and has made it into a small cutting hook.  He has also put another nail nick into the file so that it can be opened easier, as after modding the files nail nick is tucked up against the hook.  He has done it very well.

The blunting of the picker/plucker was simple enough and turned out well.


I was less happy with the nail nick, I really could have done with a much thinner cutting wheel but it does the job.  In the picture below you can see some of the prototype nicks.  I've actually settled on a slightly different one but you'll have to wait for a shot of that (its all a big secret )
