I'm a Wenger man from way back..  my first SAK was a Wenger, still got it 40 years later.

OK, I'm a nerd. My first thought was “Well, that doesn't say much, considering the number of knives having carried the name “Golfer”.” :D

Here's a mod I've been meaning to do for quite some time.

I'm calling it the Town and Country:

While my most carried SAK at the moment is a Passenger I modded, as it has everything I need for urban duties, it stays home whenever I take a walk in the park or spend time in or near nature, since it is lacking a saw. So if I can get used to carrying a 4 layer SAK, which I don't see much of a problem with, then this will become my new EDC :)

Lately I made an Alox Farmer with scissors in gold. Front- and backside scales with Vic shield.

I also made a Farmer with scissors, however I found that placing the scissors between blade and saw makes the nail groove on the blade a lot easier to access. It looks better too I think.

Modded my trusty Compact today. Removed the keyring spacer for a flush one (donated by an Explorer) and replaced the Parcel Hook spring with a classic good ol' scissors spring. Combined with latest gen scissors, this creates an ultra snap.
Also, I finally have a flush spring on the back. The new springs with the backside tools are always recessed. I don't like this at all.

I know what you mean about the springs not being flush annoying.  Thats one edge Wenger SAKS have, nice flush liners and springs.  I dont mind backtool SAKs so much, but i dont like the poking out liners at all.

Look how nice the back of the Wenger on the left looks.

Compact with pliers and saw layer added.  The only unusual part on this one is I put an awl where there is normally a fine screwdriver under the saw. I  had to shave 0.015 inches off a liner so it would fit.  Works fine though.

My latest mod:

I really like this one a lot. It's my new EDC. I'm going to take it back apart to do some fine tuning (more snap) and then slap on a pair of black scales, since I got krazy glue on the translucent ones .

I also found a precision 40 piece Wiha bit set that works with the bit driver. I got a small neodymium magnet & krazy glued it in there to hold them in place. So far it's working surprisingly well :D I'm thinking about putting magnets in all the bit holders as well.

Edited to add:

+1 on the screws

crackout, that looks sweet. What does the other side look like or are they Chicago screws?
