Looking for alternative pocket clip for Charge TTi

I just got a Charge TTi. It's great. But I wish the pocket clip was also a lanyard ring. I wish there was a version of the pocket clip that was either folded metal in such a way that it had both on one piece, or if the pocket clip was just 1 or 2 mm longer so I can put in a key ring (see attached picture to understand what I mean).

Does any third party make such a clip for the Charge TTi?

I can't help you with the clip, but their is a hidden lanyard ring.

Open the saw and look in the handle.  :tu:

Is that a newer version TTi or the older version? I'm not 100% sure it's on the newer one, but I would guess it is.

Wooow you are my hero

I looked this up on Google, apparently the tool comes with instructions that I completely ignored and hence missed this.

Thanks for pointing that out.

But my idea for a dual purpose clip still sounds cool because it will be a quick release instead of always having the ring in the way.

edit: I don't know if my Charge TTi is "new" or "old", I got it from the local camping store

edit: If I cut off this hidden lanyard ring, would I gain a slot for the detachable lanyard ring?

edit: the answer is YES, I'm also a moron, two security torx screw driver is all I needed

Yes, I removed the lanyard ring as soon as I bought mine.
When I go outdoor I use both ring n clip at the same time.

Instead of cutting it off, just pop the torx out and remove it. Super easy and you can put it back to factory easily.

Not everyone is into clip carry, many use carry pouch.
That is why the clip is an optional add on.

I am intrigued

adding an awl would mean replacing the really broad flathead screwdriver, not sure about the tradeoff, but the detachable bit driver already has a flathead so I'm not losing too much

are the pliers from the Rebar compatible with the Charge's locking mechanism? I'm talking about the wedge thingy on the back of the plier hinge part (so you can't open a knife while the plier is open).

Yes but if they just never add the hidden ring, people like me would be happy, people who don't like clip/lanyard carry are also happy.

The one advantage of the hidden ring I can see is that it can't ever be lost. But if I were to be forced to use the hidden ring, I would probably use a carbiner or something to make the entire tool detach, or else the lanyard will get in the way of the scissors and stuff. If I were to use the detachable ring, then I would not need a carbiner, and just rely on the quick-release mechanism already built into the Charge. The latter option is much more desirable in almost all situations I can think of, because there's a chance that the hidden ring gets pushed back in and it's a pain in the ass to get back out.

Also it's probably super easy to fabricate a much smaller ring clip by simply getting a sheet of steel, drilling an appropriate hole, and machining (or even just grinding) the locking latch shape. I could probably laser-cut/water-jet/3D-print/CNC-machine a ton of really weird tool shapes that are detachable.

Imma gonna make a toothbrush or a fork or something for this now, this new slot is awesome.

Yes, the Rebar plier head has the same "wedge" that locks the blades from opening in plier mode.
