Happy Birthday to both of you!  :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

Mighty generous of you two to give away gifts on your own Birthdays. Hope you both have great days spent with people you love.  :salute:

As for a SAK that is special to me. I have a old knockoff SAK that was my first ever and a old Wenger that was my second SAK and first "real" SAK I ever owned. Those are both pretty special to me. They are buried deep somewhere so no pictures. I also find my Green alox Classic pretty special to me as its never left my keyring since I got it and has seen plenty of use. I couldn't imagine not having it with me.

Happy birthday!
Very generous giveaway :salute:

My favourite is my Wenger SI. Its always in my pocket, ready to tackle most problems head on.
The few times over the last couple of years I have not had it with me, I feel naked and vulnerable.
Also my wife thinks Im insane for taking pictures of it at different locations. ;)

Very Happy Birthday Tim & Enki   :drink:

There's no way I can compete with the SAK's being shown on this thread but old faithfull deserves to go public.

Well, here it is. My favourite. My Victorinox Spartan.
After a roller coaster SAK ride over the years this is now my one & only.

My very first SAK, bought in 1986, it has seen some very hard use & been a constant companion every day since I bought it.
The original blue scales gave up a while ago so I thought I'd have a change of colour scheme with a black set.

I'm entering mostly because this SAK is extremely special for me.

It started out as a full out mod built from scratch by The Bee-man himself, Neil Bee.  Old red Alox scales and brass liners.  IT's first iteration was with a modded 91mm backspring with hook space on the backside.

Once Syph007 began to strut his modding stuff, I sent this same SAK up to him to have the backspring swapped out to his flat back backspring.  It is essentially a master electrician with scissors and is the SAK I reach for whenever the Bosslady and I go to any sort of social affair.   :)

Thanks for the giveaway! My favourite is the Wenger Standard Issue because it's my most carried SAK and is a very useful knife.

Happy Birthdays, to a great pair!

A special knife?  How about a Wenger Special Edition: only 500 made, with a unique 10-blade combination with locking main blade, and inlaid black leather handles.

My Syph Custom is definitely my favorite at this point, until the others are finished lol. This thing has been all over Philippines and has even been swimming with some whale sharks! Forgot the sucker in my pocket until I was already down there.

happy birthday and thanks for this great oportunity

as with some other members, my best memory comes from my first the first SAK I bought with my own money.

mine is the Wenger Swiss Grip. it has been with me for around 20 years now, and although I do not EDC it as much as back then, it still is the king of the house.

mine is well worn, as I do use it quite a lot

For me it would have to be the black Huntsman. That was my first SAK, nothing exciting really. I thought it was a Climber until I realized it had a saw that was mistaken for a divider or liner. No pics of this one at the moment

Happy Birthday and thanks for this chance!

This is my Super Tinker, it's special to me because it's my "go to" tool, whenever I'm in doubt what to carry, this is what I grab! Whenever I need a sharp blade, scissors, bottle opener, philips driver it's always close. I can't count how many times this Super Tinker has saved the day!

First of: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

This is my special SAK: a Vic classic that I got of my beloved fiancé RT for valentines day! He even made sure that my first name (not an easy one for Germans to write or speak) got engraved on the knife. Thank you honey! :-*

I once talked about this knife in the Victorinox store - the sales personal couldn't believe someone engraving the 58mm blade!  :o

And the 'Å' is always a challenge.  :D

First of all, happy birthday to Tim and Nikola, and also to this beautiful site .
And a big thank you to both of you for your generosity  :salute:.

Now, which SAK is most special to me ...

There's no way I could name only one, so here are my favorites:

My trusty Swisschamp, it's not a coincidence that most of my vacation/SAK pics show my red Swisschamp, I really like this one because ... well, when you carry a Swisschamp, you have every tool that's available on a SAK in one single knife (ok, no light, no bit driver), so in my opinion, that's the one you need when you go abroad.

There's also my Evowood Wengers (evowood 14 and 17), I like these because, in my view, these are the nicest looking knives out there, the wood scales feel/smell/look awesome.

And last but not least, my Vic Soldier, just because it feels great.  Big and usable knife, which looks as non-threatening as a knife of that size could, so very usable in an urban/city/public environment (except in that strange country across the channel ... ;)).  And the saw (thanks to its size) is also outstanding.

I could go on and on, because there are other SAK's I also like very much, like my Huntsman (my first SAK) which I've been carrying at work every day for the last 3 years, or like the Pioneer, or the Black Cadet, or ...  :ahhh

Wonderful offering, thanks!  :salute:

My favorite SAK must be my custom "Librarian" mod (my first) because every time I use it I recall how luck I was it came together so well as a first mod and the reason it did was all the fantastic info I received here on MTO!

My special SAK would be my old Mechanic.  I still remember when and where I bought it.  I'd just gotten married and we were bringing back some of the duplicate Wedding Gift items to a local store... plus some of those "What the heck where they thinking?" gifts.  We were at a store called Witmark which is long since out of business.  It was my first SAK that I purchased and I remember at the time debating heavily between the Mechanic and the Super Tinker.  (Ideally I wanted a Deluxe Tinker, but either this model wasn't out yet or the store didn't carry it.  Back in them olden days I didn't have the benefit of the Interweb and the SAKwiki of course, so it was looking at the models they had in stock.) I picked the mechanic thinking I can always use the knife to cut what the scissors would cut, but the scissors can never act as a pliers.

I've owned this SAK for nearly 20 years now, but it went missing for many, many months.  I at my wife's Grandparent's house for Sunday dinner one weekend and the knife fell out of my pocket into the cushions of their love seat.  It wasn't until much later that I discovered it was missing and had no clue when it happened.  After a week or so I eventually gave up hope of finding it again and my wife happened to see another SAK on sale and bought it for me as a replacement.  Then at least 6 months later Grandma finally was doing some deep cleaning or something and found the knife.  After checking with a number of family members they eventually figured out it was mine and we were reunited!

Featured in the thread 'Al's Handyman', this is the Vic Handyman that belonged to my father in law, who passed away in November. I doubt it will ever be a daily user. it's just too thick for my taste. Also, I'm not sure how I'd feel if I banged it up. There's a bit of irony to this, since Al didn't care if HE banged it up. :D

This Wenger backpacker is special to me because it's handles are from the 2nd sak I ever owned.
