Same here, own both the S/S and BO new-2013 model Surges, solid as.
Which finish do you prefer?

If the OHT review is anything to go by this will be one good review.

I have a new BO surge coming in the mail so I will be looking for that blade play.

I look forward to reading how the surge works for you. Cheers

Not any defect on my BO new Surge.

But with it´s weight it´s definately no pocket/clip carry tool for me, only pouched on the belt.

That´s why the wiggeling clip (a known "problem") is not a real problem to me.

Have fun.

Bye,
Michael

I'm wearing the Surge on my belt today.

It feels alot lighter.

The leather sheath that came with the tool is very nice.

I've been driving dump trucks of gravel for most of today so far.

I've belt carried a Surge just about everyday for maybe 7 years .
It always amazes me when people say its to heavy and it weighs them down .
In a proper sheath positioned correctly you don't even know its there .

I've found Horizontal with the sheath more around the back is the best .
I threw the Leatherman sheath away after about a month and have used this one ever since .

According to the Minnesota department of transportation the dump truck  I've been driving for the last few years is to.l heavy for my license and should be dot inspected.

Haha, so it is the Surge.  I've heard it's heavy, but I didn't know it was that heavy ;)

My Minnesota class d drivers license is good to operate all vehicles under 26000 pounds

http://mn.gov/elicense/licenses/licensedetail.jsp?URI=tcm:29-3564&CT_URI=tcm:29-117-32

My truck weighed 24300 pounds when I got stopped.  The trooper weighed me during the stop

The tag/plate on the inside of the door says max weight 27500

I guess they go off the tag and not the actual weight.

The smurfy part is I make alot of hour's on my paycheck driving it.

I just opened my copy of the ticket work sent home in a envelope with surge. I got its plane edge blade wicked sharp and it melts through papper.

The SURGEon thrives off of being a cutting tool.

I cut all sorts of wire, a few nails, cardboard boxs, hose, twine and a few snacks with him today.  all were cut with surgical precision.

Today is the first day since ever that I didn't carry a folding knife to back up my multitool

like I've been saying

he's that good of a cutter I don't feel like I need another knife with me.

I'm going to start another topic on The SURGEon.

I'm going to keep doing this review as well.

The Surgeon topic will be my every day use and thoughts.

This topic will be facts about the tool and not what I think.

The Surgeon is so big I can't cram him into one topic.  :multi:
