SOG Tales......
on: June 22, 2008, 09:02:09 PM
I saw on the Leatherman Site that they have Leatherman tales and I thought that we should share our tales with the SOG.
 :multi:

I'll start, my wife wanted to know where the scissors are so she could cut a tag off of a shirt. I pulled my S60 out and cut it with the scissors.

Edit: spelling

I had to get rid of a tag, too. Feeling the power of SOG behind me, I ripped it off with my bare teeth.

With the shirt on.

Nice to hear you liked Ben's Powerlock Bison. I do really like the Powerlocks I just think that they have sooo much more potential. You cannot beat the power of that compound leverage though :D

I don't know if I already told this story, but here you go:

One day while doing inventory in the warehouse, we found a pallet that was placed on an upper shelf backwards. The label was only on the front side, so we had to turn it around. The pallet was too cramped to move, so we were going to have to turn the large box itself. It was, however, strapped down to the pallet with metal bands. We had a large pair of snips, so this didn't pose a real problem, until we realized that we had no idea where they were. We asked everyone in the warehouse, and noone knew. Problem.

After wasting way too much time on that, I decided to try and cut the bands off with something else. I couldn't find anything better than the Powerlock on my belt. So I took to snipping the metal band. I didn't have any trouble at all. The only thing was that the short cutters made it so I had to make more cuts, but with the compound leverage it was easy!

Not the most exciting or heroic task;but I just used the Powerlock to remove a broken pocket clip from a Kershaw  Vapor. The Phillips worked nicely on one screw that wasn't bobbled, and the pliers gripped extremely well and got out a pesky bobbled Phillips.
