Love the texture, looks, slimness, hardiness of my Cadet. But don't carry it often because scissors are my #1 essential SAK tool.I'm sure this question has been asked before...but why, Victorigods, why, when scissors seem to be one of the most common mods, aren't they a factory feature?
I've had lots of cellidor SAK's in my life. A few have been lost, several given away to friends and family. BUt more and more when I carry a SAK, it's been alox. LIke a growing trend as I got older, the cadet, pioneer, farmer, and even the little secretary and Wenger patriot, have grown on me. Something about the feel of alox, the care free maintenance of it. When fishing on the river, just reach over the side of the boat and swish it around in the water. At home, a brush and some Dawn and a nice rinse and toss it on the counter to dry. No hidden areas to have gunk. If out in the field, Purrell hand sanitizer works well, the alcohol having no effect on the alox. Out in the woods, bug repellent has no effect, a welcome change after partly dissolving a cellidor handle with mosquito repellent that was on my hands. My old Wenger SI has been getting a lot focally of late. The farmer is in my emergency kit for the saw. I really love alox.
