Looking at YOU, KnifeCenter.
The retailer logo thing is not particular to KnifeCenter. DLT Trading have blue and black Pioneer Xs available, and they had this to say:

Quote
In order for us to secure these colors, the DLT logo is imprinted in silver to match the SAK shield that is located on the front of the knife.

The presence of the retailer's logo is a Victorinox policy. I don't find it bothersome, as it gives more variations to collect. :D However, I would like to see Victorinox offer them without a retailer's logo, both to give me more variations to collect and to have an offering for folks who don't care for the logo.

I've played with the idea of removing the logotype by bringing the surface down to the base silver. So far, it feels like more trouble than it's worth. Someday, an 'unbranded' black and/or red Bantam will cross my path and I'll just have to pay the premium.

For anyone checking this thread, just stumbles across an ebay listing with 40 minutes left for a silver OC electrician currently at 45 ish dollars : https://www.ebay.com/itm/255722283266?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=MBGm07RGQvu&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=GMTaI8LVRlS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Given enough time, I'm sure you'll get one. Maybe one managed to slip out of Ibach without having a logo applied? Or perhaps the logo on the LCSAS version would be less objectionable?

$45-ish is what it sold for. Seems someone (hopefully a member here) did pretty well.

My latest finds.
Very happy with this OC Settler! Search this model for so long worn and cheap, as a daily companion.
Finally found yesterday at a flea market for 10 CHF. I send this to Victorinox and kindly ask for a new large blade.
Can not wait... :ahhh

If you want to be happy, be.

I could probably live with that, if I could find one at a reasonable price. Shipping to Canada often seems to cost as much as the knife.

Patience and persistence will pay off, someday.

My “hunter green” Bantam alox. I adore dark shades of green and had to snap this up as soon as it was available.

for the last 19 years I have carried a silver alox pioneer that my wife gave me when we got married. This week is our 19th anniversary so she gave me this nice Black Alox Cadet . I have many SAKs but I love alox. I will be carrying this a lot

I’m just recently getting into the Alox world and I’m hooked. A used Electrician was my first as the compliment to my Wave. The scales are a wonder to hold. 1-2 layers is I think my max width for pocket comfort with the Alox. I imagine a Swiss Army 2 would be another ideal if I could get my hands on one.

Right now  I’m waiting on a Solo in the mail…The Solo I plan to use to as a food safe knife for the ease of cleaning and larger blade. It’s force of habit to reach into my pocket for my Waiter, but cleaning several times daily is a bit of a hassle. I suspect the solo will be easier.

should be here tomorrow  :mail: pics when it arrives…

The Solo would be a great food prep SAK. Now you have me thinking of picking up another for that very reason.

 :mail: mail call!

The Alox Solo arrived today.  The blade snap is extreme.

Now my second Alox, here along with my used Electrician.

The blade is wicked sharp and cutting is much more controlled than my Waiter.

This will become my new food safe SAK. It cleans off so easily.

Catching up.  I was slow to Alox but thankfully I scored a Red OC farmer and Red ribbed cadet 2 pretty early on in my hunt.
