Hey, where did you get the scales? I can't find red scales anywhere... (I suppose they're custom ones since it's only the cross and not the shield logo)

Oh heck no, you got to do some more research, that’s an old school cross, they are very hard to come by and if you do find them they ain’t going to be cheap unless the scales are scuffed up, I was very lucky with those! Good luck and welcome aboard,

I’ve always babied my Alox but this Pioneer has been in my pocket, in my child’s mouth, in the desert, on the road, thrown around and downright abused and it’s only getting better.

Nothing as nice as pocket worn alox!

The black pioneer I carried for 6 years felt very nice and smooth.

I'm slightly over 4 years carry on this pioneer, and its getting there.

Love alox models, but most of mine stay pretty because they're just in the pocket with my wallet and don't get that lovely worn look so many others get.

:like: The narrow 84mm models make excellent carries. I've had one in my pocket for a while.

I need to get off my backside and take an Alox family photo...

You sent it to Vic for service?

They didn’t mess with your brass liners?

I'm just waiting for a sunny day. The Alox family is way too big to fit on my usual backdrop, so I'll have to use a table (a la Poncho).

Yes, I sent it to the Vic-service.
With the normal liners they did not, but sadly replaced the key ring spacer, because they apparently thought it needed to. I can live with that. Had they replaced the liners without asking I'd been furious. Has that happened to you before?

These two I've carried since getting them.  The farmer had a broken key ring and the Cadet2 had two main issues.  The main blade was sharpened terrible and the can opener was damaged.

A little nip and tuck and all good.
