Sorry man. Are you trying to keep it as original as possible? I don't know smurf about modding/repairing. Im in the process of learning though. Could you just use the donor knife backspring along with its blade? Im sure there's something I'm missing, but I have to learn somehow.

Not sure if i could swap the entire layer for a newer....BUT , Then I would loose the CLIP POINT Secondary Pen Blade :td:
Both the old baldes are THICKER than others.....even the older Spantan w/ Grooved Corkscrew. :poh: :D

I want the Clip Point pen blade for sure....... Nawwww does not have to be ORIGINAL AS POSSIBLE , I use this one.........I just noticed the scales warping, and it always needed a replacement main blade due to wear.

I would use a 2016 spartan blade ifn' i could get away with it!  :D :D :tu:

Mixing the clip point small blade with a newer large blade is possible... just have to switch the outher liner with the one that has a half-circle indent.. the indentation is necessary to compensate for thinner large blade tang...

I own silver pioneer x and it really serves me well. Just a quick question to Pioneer x owners. I noticed that space between main blade and scissors is very small. You can't put a paper between them. Recently I have noticed those two tools are rubbing each other and I see small scratches on tip of the blade and on the scissors. Is it normal in that model? Will it get worse? Thanks

Welcome to the boards mate.

It isn't normal but it can happen every now and then.
Usually it doesn't get worst.
Slight sideways pressure on the nail nick when opening and closing can help.

You could always pick up another couple and find one more to your liking.   ;)   :D

 :like: That's a very sleek classy looking knife.

Thanks!

It is indeed a very classy knife, really like this shade of red!

I initially bought it to resell it but I think this will be a keeper for the collection!

Thanks for your response. Those scratches can be only seen under light but I think they come from rubbing. In case it will get worse does warranty cover this?

I am sure they would fix a faulty knife.
