Some macro flower shots
on: August 07, 2014, 11:47:33 PM
Haven't taken any macro flower pics in awhile, so here are some I snapped today.  These are all handheld, and it was a bit windy out.  Thank god for built in stabilization!!

I call this the dream state one.

anyway, back on topic, this is the type of photography I enjoy the most, and I will TRULY enjoy it once I have a real camera.

If I can help, let me know

I really do enjoy macro photography!  Even with having built in stabilization, using a 100mm F2.8 metal body lens, it's quite the chore.

Here are a few more, including some "not flower" ones. :D

Great shots.  :tu:
Thanks Dan!

Ok, here is the plan. Going to go for a motorcycle ride. I am now thinking of going to the Canal and take some macros. I haven't done this in a long while, nor have I used this lens in a long while. If the results are ok, I will post them in here later.

In the least, I will get some more fresh air. Win win. :D

I just slapped the macro onto my main camera.

Well I didn't get to go on the trip...change of plans. So I didn't take any photos. However, had to put the garbage out today, so I took a few quick shots around the house.

All Hand held and I am very rusty.

I sure could have used a tripod and some lighting to get this one to stop moving.  :D

She did't like that macro lens inches from her face...I can't blame her. :D

Just to show you how rusty I was...I tried the first two in AF.

Yeah, manual focus all the way! :D

EDIT: Also wanted to say, what changed my plans was a visit to a friend's mother. I found out it was her birthday. Her daughter wanted to take her out to the Casino later. So I took her to a nice restaurant next to the water front. We both ate outside in the fresh air, and then I took her on a nice long country ride in the Jeep.
