Blades of Africa
on: August 11, 2014, 09:44:26 PM
Here's a new listing for Victorinox series in the SAKwiki. If anyone can provide addition information or photos please do so. There are at least two other knives in the series, one with a rhino and elephant, and the other with a leopard.

----------------------------------------------------

The "Blades of Africa" is a set of small Victorinox knives showing various African wildlife. It is believed the series was only available in South Africa. Some version of the knives are marked South Africa; others are plain.

- Bantam with zebra - 2.2300.07
- Pocket Pal with rhino, elephant, buffalo (needed) - 0.6900.17
- Sentry with lion, antelope, zebra - 0.6910.02
- Pocket Pal with giraffes (squared off) - v2.6910.01
- Sentry with giraffes (oval)(nylon) - 0.6910.01
- Sentry with leopard (needed) - 0.6910.03

I was just looking at the info you sent me. :D

I'll wait then a bit to see if we can get more info and pics first.

Here's the scan of the Blades of Africa package. I shrunk it a bit.

Nikola,

This photo of a Sentry with leopard is already in the SAKwiki browsing gallery. Maybe add it to the Blades of Africa thread. Don't know who provided it. The leopard looks upside down from the ad.

@meanx provided that one. He's actually from South Africa so he might have more of them, if not all.
