I can't decide whether that's awesome or the stupidest thing I've seen posted in a long time... I seriously hope there were a great deal of testing, that didn't get shown in the video, before he stood in that thing, with all the fireworks.

And in the same breath, I'd just like to recommend everybody to exercise proper caution around fireworks - IMHO, above video is not an example of that and is something that should only be done by pyrotechnicians, preferably with trained medical staff nearby.
Luckily, I haven't experienced any physical damage from fireworks, but every single year there's stories of at least a few people that has either lost an eye or a finger; it's dangerous stuff. That's why most of it should explode high up in the air.

He is an engineer and he does test things first, having said that he is a true eccentric and some of his vids are amazing from a technical stand point too. I doubt anyone's thought to do 60mph on a mobility scooter for instance :)

I was actually more amazed at making the rounded section with air pressure   :o

never thought about how they did it,  but that would not have been my guess
If I can help, let me know

It is water pressure actually not air pressure.  The Mythbusters used the same technique to make Greek Era torpedoes.

I've seen some of his stuff of Daily Planet and he makes some cool stuff!

Just watched this and few other of his videos.. He's absolutely CRAZY!! AND I LOVE IT!!!  :ahhh

And yeah, as said before, hydroforming was used by Mythbusters in the ancient torpedo myth, so there's some info for you on the method if you like  :)
