I used to work for a cardboard box manufacturers, and some of the things the design guys can do is amazing. They often do crazy stuff like that as promotional props to show how strong things can be.

At our factory, I remember they had a sort of waiting room where customers who had come to get their designs 'proofed' could sit on cardboard furniture. If you use the right stuff and do it right, it really is a amazing what you can use it for. It's 100% recyclable too!

I think the correct term is eccentric  Thats why they have the craziest idea, the world would be a lot boring without that eccentricity

All these students have too much time on their hands    Doubt it will be successful, but you never know! If it gets more people cycling it has to be a step in the right direction anyway.
