This is getting to be a tradition for my family. For the last 4 to 5 years, we have been going to Richards Landing for the annual Canada Day Celebration Tractor Trot. It started off with a few farmer friends who decided one day to drive their tractors to get a cup of coffee. Now it has grown into over a hundred tractors, from participants that now travel a good distance to participate. Every year, it appears to be getting larger and larger. Instead of boring you with a ton of photos as I have in the past, I will only post a select few.

I used a Pentax K10 camera along with a Pentax fish-eye 10 - 17 mm lens. With this lens, I can sit in my car and get the whole tractor feet away from me in the frame. I love this lens.

I've gone to a few 'tractors and coffee in a random paddock' meets.   :tu:   :like:

Thanks.

Here are a few more photos.

And one last one to show you how much reach a fish-eye lense has. I was able to get the tractor and the long trailer in a single frame...shot 4 feet away from me as I sat in my Jeep. The lens was maxed out at 10mm for this one.

They must be overflowing with syrup still- I hope you picked some up while you were there!

I love tractors. If I could legally drive a tractor everywhere I'd get rid of my Jeep in a heartbeat.  In fact, that is one of the reasons I wish the zombie apocalypse would hurry up and get here.....  :-P

Great shots Dan!  I can't speak for everyone else, but I'd love to see a few more of your pictures!
