WTB old Wave serrated knife and the plainedge
on: April 16, 2014, 05:17:54 PM
I know it´s a longshot, but !
Bought my oldstyle Wave a couple of years ago online. The seller wasn´t completely honest, it was paint, rust and sticky gunk all over it and really hard used.
And worst was the homemade reshapeing of the serrated knife, awfully done. And the pe knife is  a bit bend.

So I was kind of hoping there is a modder somewhere that have the spareknives and are willing to sell them.
As long as their not bend or broken it doesn´t matter how they look.

The wave is a bit wobbly has srcratches all over it. But I have cleaned it, oiled it taken away the rust so many times that I´m started to like it and its slim old look.

Sorry, I don't have any. I am wondering if it would be possible to mod the new wave blades to fit it?

Thanks anyway.
I´m not sure new Wave knives looks a bit  broader. And there is a longer gap between the screwheads that seems compensate for that.

If the orginal Wave blades are the same as the new version Wave you might find some on eBay.com

I looked at my new wave and my guess is that it won´t fit unless you got good mod skills.
Thanks anyway greggozedobe

Looks like you are right:
Quote
Wave and Wave Black Oxide, post 2004 only. If your Wave tool has removable screwdriver bits, this blade will fit your tool. Please note that these blades will not fit the original Wave models manufactured before 2004. If your Wave tool has a fixed Philips screwdriver function this blade will not work with your tool

Maybe look for a broken or beater original Wave and cannablize the parts you need from it ?

Thanks Guys I guess that the knifes is the tools that get to see most use and get beat up therefor rarer as spareparts.
I been looking for a cannibal victim since I got mine but they tend to go for quite alot around here.Almost as much as a new one. But I´m sure something gonna show up sooner  or later.

Hey, thank you for asking.  :)
I did finally found a Wave in ok condition at fair price. So I´m ok.

But I still have the beaten up Wave left so in a way I´m still looking for the loose parts if I should stumble on them.
