Just improved my living room knife display.
on: July 25, 2021, 12:03:24 PM
I just bought 2 - 8 knife plastic display stands from Amazon. They arrived yesterday and I just did the change minutes ago. It is a big improvement from my previous static display. I had bought back in 2009 these small clear plastic 1 knife display stands because at the time, that is all I could find. I was looking on Amazon for something completely different when I stumbled upon the new ones by accident. I had thought to improve my front knife display for years now, but it kept getting put on the "do it later" plan. I think this is a big improvement over the old one level display, because now I can see them all, and I have room for 2 extra knives. Not to mention more floor space for maybe more knives.

I agree. I wanted to do something like this when I first set up the display back in 2008. Now I can see them, and I also have more room to add down the road.  :tu:

Yep.
Id wind up filling up all that newfound space with more knives.

Very nice setup Chako! If I may ask;what is that knife in the front left side with the wood handles and odd shaped blade? Tried reading the stamp but these old eyes cannot make it out.

The 4 left bottom knives plus the top 2 perched on the resine moose are from a local custom knife maker with German roots. I bought them a year after he passed away. I was attending a yard sale when his widow told me about the knives. After following her inside the house, I was amazed at what I saw. One of the moose knives has his name etched on the blade...1 of 2 that was sent to one of his German friends to finish as they were left unfinished when he passed away. His name was Herman Duerrshmidt.

Nice upgrade!

   :tu:

Have you thought about what models you'll get to fill the empty space?

No. Currently trying to focus on the Leatherman part. Next up who knows. I do have some knives stored upstairs with all those survival knives and machetes. I will have to give that some consideration.
