If you mean unscrewing anything? Yes that voids the warranty.

Thank all of you for answering so quickly.
Also:D'OOOOOOOHW

ok ill send it back. Or wait, another question: I've had two brand new surges (hail to the surge) both of them have had their pliers stuck against the other inside pieces because the little bridges inside who are supposed to prevent this got bent. Both of them also had loose endpieces, on the bottom of the grips. And because these don't entirely fit, the pocketclip released and one of them fell in the gutter... Guess i had two following products in production line and Scruffy from QC in portland had a bad day ;D Now i've heard and read that warranty here in Belgium is a b*#ch so  now i wonder if its worth the try (transportation costs) because i seem to be the only one having hese problems.
Or am I wrong o devoted community?

I remember that people had problems with their Surge pocketclips before so it's not just you. I think there was a fix for that but currently can't remember what it was. :faceplam: Hopefully someone will be along shortly who does.

As for the Belgian LM Warranty, yes, there were some problems, but I hope those got corrected in the mean time and that they treat their customers right now. I'd give them a call, or send an email, and ask.

About the Belgian LM Warranty, last time I heard it came down to this:

- If you bought your Leatherman in a store in Belgium, and you have a receipt to verify this, you should get a new replacement tool for free, okay, they charge about 5 Euro's "shipping" costs, but that's it.

- If you bought your Leatherman abroad (on the internet, in the Netherlands, In Germany, overseas ...) you can still get a replacement tool, but they will charge you about 15 Euro administration fees, on top of the 5 Euro shipping costs.

You can find the Belgian Leatherman importer (Hombel) here.
