John, I think I need your pen.

To late Ben,reluctantly "sold" it went back across the pond due to the fact I hated taking it out for fear of losing it  :ahhh
I'm now in line to get a S&W SS tac pen I figure if I lose that I'll only cry for a day and not the rest of my life  :D

It looked gorgeous.

I still want a tac pen of some sort.  I may invest in the Fred Perrin one as that doesn't look too tactical.
I'm back!!

Why not get a stainless steel Parker.  No one will look twice at it, cheap and a good pen :D
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Best stick with nub type tac pen IMHO

See, I think the Mil-tac type ones look very tactical and likely to cause grief if caught with.  :-\  Would like one though.

Not at all I have had this first hand as long as it's not sharp and waved around in a threatening manner it's fine  ;)

[edit] one point to remember even a SAK will get you grief if waved about in a threatening manner otherwise they're fine  :tu:

Perhaps I just need to bite the bullet and just get one (after the £1100 car bill ).  My other "concern" is that some one at work in the know will see it and know what it is actually designed for.

Having said that, a blue Smith and Wesson tac pen looks pretty harmless.

Mind you when I used to wear a kilo of gold on my person that gold one would've been nice  :D

But I'm going for the black one more stealth like IMO  :tu:

I'm kinda anti the Tac pen genre . Secret's out about them . I'm filling that niche with a Stainless Sharpie ( Tks. GG ), or a Streamlight Stylus Pro . When I'm working I think my Fluke non contact voltage tester would also do in a pinch . None of these items will get you into Doo , unles you are flagrant about it .

I find my writing isn't very neat when using the Streamlight though.  :P

That's why I like the Fred Perrin as it just looks like a good pen IMO.

IMO the mil tac looks the lesser tactical pen from a view point as it has a less pointy end, that said I'm still going with the S&W but I shall sand of the S&W of the clip because just the name S&W conjures up "WEAPON" something tactical and anyone seeing the name would think  :ahhh guns  ;) without the name it's just a pen  ;)

Here are some shots of the Surefire U2 I got today. Awesome solid light with a great UI, really nice beam, and a great low.

I would never have gotten one at full price. They are a bit pricy but I found one at an awesome deal and couldn't pass it up.

Any plan to drop an MCE in there?

Not anytime soon. My sodering skills aren't that good anyway. The beam from a MCE might be good with the deep reflector on the U2.
