Victorinox I.N.O.X. Tool
on: October 18, 2014, 02:57:24 PM
Vic just released their super tough new watch, the I.N.O.X. and apparently they're also offering, along with the standard straps a NATO strap and a specific tool for changing/switching the straps. It looks like a nail file with a small indentation for pushing the pins. It is similar in function to the Wenger Spring Bar Tool on the Minathor, except for the fact it doesn't have the Magnifier nor the Scale.

My question for you guys is, is this a new tool or just a rare one? And the more important one is, are you guys going to buy the watch with the excuse that you need (cough, cough) this unique tool?

As always, any help or input is greatly appreciated.

edit: forgot to add the Picture  :P

I wondered the same thing. The watch isnt exactly cheap though, so I wouldnt buy it just to get the tool.

Hm, I got the email for a voucher I could exchange in the shop for the additional strap and SAK, but I didn't see the pic so I assumed it was just a regular watch case opener.

This is a new one to me. :tu:

There's another INOX sak on ebay. Quite reasonably priced so I reckon it would be sold very soon... Just in case any of you guys might be interested.

Not cheap indeed, that is why the excuse of "needing" the special tool...

I believe the pic appeared after you click the link/picture in the newsletter. I was curious to see what it was so I went after.

I am guessing to stay away from competition of Seiko/Casio?  If it is just a tough electronic watch, it'd be just a Vic version of G-shock and may not jive well with the hardcore G-shock fans.

I got the email as well. The way I understood it: it's a regular Classic SAK, but there is also an extra tool for replacing the strap, i.e. a push pin tool.
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.
