It did this all day
Is there a way to get the clip to have more holding pressure.? Mine slips out a little too easily, way less pressure than a wave pocket clip, at least on this one. It fell out f my pocket in my truck earlier ???

Mine is loose like that also. Never had it fall out while wearing my pats but a few times it has while off.

Just take the clip off and bend it in some to make it tighter. Havenot done mine cause I am lazy and like I said only falls out when I am naked.

Not hating ... honest ... but that was something I noticed on the Skele too, that and the fact it sits so high when clipped. For the wierdos that actually like the Skele (you strange people you  :pok:) :P I wish the clip was deeper carry and/or you could put a long lanyard at the same end to do the belt loop paracord trick that so many folks do with SAKs for extra security ...  but lanyards are most practical on the wrong end of the tool as it stands. Whilst the tool doesn't work for me at all, it would be nice to see better rentention for those that get along with it. The ride height was actually one of the many factors which made me prefer the Octane.

Maybe this would be a good time for Harley to quit talking and start doing  :pok: and get his modding vibe going, and conjure up a solution to the problem  :P

Congrats to all those who have lasted so long on this challenge BTW

I have never had an issue with it falling out or not riding deep enough.
(I'm talking about the Skeletool by the way.)

Quiet you!

I do have a set of T-10 security bits on the way for modding.

Not sure I will mess with the Skelly clip though. I dig the looseness of the clip. Makes it easier to put in and pull out.

Thank goodness! There are certain tools that should never have a lanyard attached  :ahhh :ahhh
If you need to tie a piece of string to THAT to find it/get it out, then you have my deepest sympathies

The MUT cousin is quite the opposite. Once in the pocket it is damn near impossible to get out. There is virtually no give in the MUT clip. I have ripped a pocket already of the 1/2 jean. I only use a pouch now when carrying the MUT.

G'Day,

The second last day of the challenge...

Today was a quiet traveling day for the MUT. I rode with the wife and kids down to Gouldburn to see them off for a 5 day break. The bike went fine, but the wind was something else. I took the short trip home, traveling into the wind on the highway filled with holiday trucks was close to impossible, even for a 300kg motorcycle. Sometimes self preservation is priority.

In Australia there are a few Big Things scattered around the country. Goulburn has the Big Marino. Pic included.

Other than that no duties for the MUT.

Cheers,

Pete

The "carriability" is not to be laughed at, its the main role it will fullfill till its needed.

I tried to use the Skelly for some work at home and got to know of all its limitations.

Job was to install a new bulkhead light by the pool (summer now, swimming into the evenings)

Took the covers off and found the mounting screws had rusted solid.

Sprayed with Q20 and tried the Skelly. It would not budge using the handle straight (pliers to bit adapter side)
Tried the 90 degrees with one handle, he started twisting and creaked just a smidgeon.

So to test I got out my Blast and could not do any better.  Got a dedicated large driver and could not budge the screws (complicated by the height above the ground)
So used the skelly blade to cut the fitting off the bolts, then used the skelly pliers to twist them.
This worked ok but I got to feel the "hotspots" on the skelly as I had to really grip them tight.

In the end the Skelly did the whole task but with a lot of drama and compromise.
This was probably Supertool 300 territory but managed to get it done by destroying the fitting.

I'm still contemplating if I should replace my folder with a Skelly to complement my CyberTool but this I find worrisome. I would have expected it to shine at that task.
Still a good combo I'd say EA.
And you have the choice of SAK blade or combi Skelly blade - assuming you go for a regular Skelly. It really is a nice tool!
It did manage to cut the apple it just did not glide through!
And the Skelly blade is very sharp, holds and edge well, it's a bit more pointy than the SAK, so does have different uses.

Dang it really flew by for me.

Skelly is a good tool so that helped.

Next time we might have to do this with a rock or something. Make it more of a challenge.

Easy day for my Skeletool, all I used it for was opening some mustard packets for lunch.

How about 30days with a tool combo that costs less than $15?

I don't think I possess a SAK or MT that cost less than $15

If it was $20 then the one legged Sidekick and Wingman people could play.

I know Lynn would want to participate with her new LLST.

I think the only MT I have that was that cheap was an old Squirt S4 I got several months back.  Great little MT really, but no pliers.  Still, I got along fine (minus one time that I needed pliers) with only a Compact during that Minimalist challenge.  I would likely be fine with the S4 as well.  It actually has more tools than the Compact I think, or at least driver wise it does.  I haven't looked at it in a long time.  I don't know that I could commit to a single MT like that for a month though, after just getting a couple good ones out of storage recently ;)

Always Harley...always >:D  But no, I wouldn't want to carry the same MT for an entire month I don't think.  I'm pretty set on SAKs between the Rogueneer and Rogue, so MTs are my chance for variety in my EDC lineup.  I'm sure I could do it if it were a challenge, but it would depend on what one.

This is it  . Actually it has been fun all the month. Only thing what i missed a lot are scissors, anything else would be a bonus.
Probably one of today`s last activities is going to mount a new towel holder in to bathroom. pic no 1. The orig one broke and i decided to make a new one by myself  :D . It is made from stainless steel (aisi 304) and finishing is electrically polished.

Second pic is showing all the cap`s MUT had to deal with all the challenge along
Wish you all a nice end of the year and a better new one
