I had fun carrying mine. I will continue to do so, but probably add a compact or Micra or something to supplement. I was lacking for scissors or a smaller driver at times.

My Skeletool Challenge after action report:
Skeletool was my main EDC tool before the challenge for four months, so this challenge did not bring me any surprising result, but allow me to summary.

Skeletool is a good looking, tough little light weight tool equips with few, but frequently use functions, and each of them perform exceptionally well.

Knife: The OHO locking blade is very sharp and effect regardless it is made of 420HC or 154CM, the length is short but sufficient for daily cutting tasks. The half serrated half pain edge variant is NOT favorited by many. While the blade is robust, it is not too good at sliding through material due to its thick spine.

Drivers: Skeletool uses Leatherman's bit holder system, with the on board bit storage, it can carry up to four different type/size screw drivers of your choice. While ergonomics isn't great, using it in the correct configuration (pliers head on driver side of handle) is not a big issue for occasionally uses. When dealing with stubborn screws, using Skeletool in “T-Handle” configuration would greatly increase its ability to turn them.

Pliers: Light duty pliers perform as I expect them to, no breakage so far.

Carabineer: It is the most iconic feature of the entire Skeletool family, however I have not found any practical uses for Skeletool’s Carabineer, but it does perform very well as a cap lifter.

Pocket Clip: What good is a multi-tool to you if you don’t have it with you? Skeletool is light and thin, with pocket clip it is very easy and comfortable to carry in pocket 24/7.

Limitation & Recommendation: Team up with another small multi-tool to gain what Skeletool lacks of, scissors; if scissors are what you use frequently.

A VIP agreed to draw out a winner after this challenge is completed.

I wish my real job was this easy. I used a random number generator and came up with "12". I hope that helps. It's easier than writing all the numbers on ping pong balls and drawing one.

I'm still expecting him to announce that he has now fallen in love with the Skeletool after so much denial.

Evil was a true craftsman and an artist.

Shame we lost him to another hobby, place or obsession... :(

EDC and OCD. A wicked mix.

So,  that's THEEE ' EVIL' I've come across a few of his creations here, was hoping he would post so I could pick his brain. I really liked those custom bit holders he came up with.
Also, thanks Kampfer for putting a name to the creator of this tool and other features of our tools we take for granted. It was a good history lesson, should have its own bookmark or section btw. Like a forefather section haha,

Thank you fire the well wishes, all; it means the world to me.We're back in the hospital for cholangitis. Yay, 2:00 am Zosyn infusion. Emily's liver numbers and bilirubin level are looking good, and her color is back to normal. Four weeks ago, she looked like a Simpsons character. Should be out on Wednesday, if all goes well.

Wow, didn't actually expect to win the pot, but I can't accept the prize. I hardly stuck through with the challenge. My carry throughout December has mainly been the Classic I used in the October challenge, with a Micra here and there, and a CRKT Minimalist I picked up from Lowe's. While I'm honored to say I was selected, I can hardly claim the prize in good conscience. Please re-roll the dice.

Getahl,
First we are glad to hear your baby is doing better and full recovery is near.
Second, I am sorry to know you violated the rules of this challenge; and thank you for being honest.

Now you leave me with a difficult decision to make ; I like all challengers to help me out on making it.
I personally believe that the next winner drew out would still rather have me send the prize to you.
So let us hear from the challengers.

I discussed this with ducttapetech and colt 1911 a couple weeks ago while the challenge was still running, and all 3 of us agreed to give the prize to getahl if we should be lucky enough to win. :salute:

getahl, I would like to echo what Kampfer said -- we are VERY glad to hear that your little one is doing so much better and on the road to full recovery. your honesty is appreciated, but I certainly didn't expect you to complete this challenge when you had so much more important matters to worry about. I just thought that Kampfer's generous prize package would be a nice pick-me-up for you during this difficult time.
