How to date a older Alox?

So I have a Old Cross Pioneer on the way.  :tu:  :mail:

I remember seeing a website that had some info on how to figure out about when your SAK was made. It seems I lost the link in my ungodly unorganized favorites folder.

Something about brass or not liners and some such about a flat spot on the scale I think.

Anyhow if anyone has some ideas or can show me a good place to get my learn on please do.

Yeah went there first but all it could tell me was sometime before 1999. Do not actually have the knife here yet so still in the research stage.

It is one of the red ones so SAKWiki is not much help. My memory could be faulty but I am pretty sure there was a website that gave more details about blade makings and such.

Back to my stupid favorites folder I go.
