Nougat is best served in milk or dark chocolate!

What's best chocolate ever?

You're nuts...

I like dark chocolate. Personally, I probably would vote for Camille Bloch

There are many types. Leonidas pralines and Toblerone are on the top. The sour Hershey's is a favorite, bringing memories from my US uncles, the same goes for MnMs. The place in Times Sqr NY where the Hershey store is opposite the MnM store is my personal Disneyland. I like Mozart also. From Greek chocolates I love ION Mandel and Serrano and Pavlides strawberry. There is a great Turkish chocolate with Pistachio also, I don't remember the name. I love most chocolates save the Spanish/Mexican bitter ones.

Next time in Greece, try these:

Läderach is at times heavenly, but my favorite is the ones with only chocolate and pieces of crushed cocoa beans in Lindt's Creola boxes. (All the other pieces I have seen available separately, but not those.) The Swiss make both good chocolate and good knives, as we all know. :D

A local favorite is Nidar's Mokkatrøffel.

Belgian chocolate  :2tu:.

Belgian truffles, Leonidas, Chocolat Jacques, Guylian, Neuhaus ... more info here.
The Swiss already have SAKs, so I "claim" the chocolat prize for Belgium  ;).

Oh, and I also claim the beer prize  :drink:.

Sorry, Belgium. I prefer German beer; Frankonian lagers, Bavarian hefeweissen, etc. Don't be greedy, you claimed chocolate, let someone else have the beer. :) (A friend of mine is adamant that (the Belgian) Marcolini is the best chocolate, btw.)

(Ironically, last time in Germany I ended up in a discussion with a German hobby brewer who felt the beer in Belgium is superior to the German products. (I am a little too interested in beer, this summer I went to four beer festivals in three countries in three or four weeks...  :drink:  ))

Ok, this offends me :viking:

White "chocolate" is NO chocolate.
At no time in history the Swiss army has issued white chocolate, it was always dark chocolate.

I made a TV add for Ovomaltine as a kid. After 10 cups or so I was sick and they replaced it with orangade. I never did drink/eat Ovomaltine since.

This thread is killing me. I'm trapped in a house with no chocolate, for almost another whole hour. Maybe then I'll convince hubby we need chocolate everything for dinner.

Starvation is the worst of all human miseries! :D

One of the age old conflicts between my wife and myself: Which is superior, chocolate pudding or chocolate mousse? I prefer pudding (preferably bullet proof), while that insane woman has ideas mousse is better.

Bah! :D

Micro-brewers always love Belgian beers, especially the dark and spicy ones, because they taste a lot, gives a lot of artistic freedom and are relatively easy to get pretty drinkable on cause of the extreme tastes. My personal Belgian favorite at the moment though is Tilquin's gueze or Cantillon's ecological one. Oh, or Cantillon Iris, that half-breed is really tasty, I think! I prefer lambic in Belgium, not such a big fan of your triples, saisons, etc. There are obviously some lovely beer jewels there, but not my personal favorites.

Heretic!  :viking:

Pudding should be almost as solid as a soft cheese, not that halfway runny stuff. And mousse is just some brown foam, who could prefer that over lovely chocolate hand to hand weaponry?
