Does anyone else hate the Tapatalk update?

I couldn't find a new thread on this
 But tapatalk updated the app today (12/15/14) or yesterday and it is TERRIBLE.

Navigation is 10× harder than it used to be! And I'm missing half my participated threads!!

I was just thinking the same thing...not that it was perfect before, but they headed in the wrong direction as far as I'm concerned.

Hate it too. They seem to have replaced the words for e.g. participated threads with icons and I have no idea what the icons mean. Also words are easier to understand than icons.
I wonder who gives them feedback that leads them to these changes.

I'm not thrilled with it either.   I have disliked the last few updates but managed them after some fiddling.  I'll give this one a little while longer.

For those wondering, there is a mobile friendly browser version of the forum that Micah set up.  Go to www.forum.multitool.org in a mobile browser and it should detect it and load the mobile version for you.

What browser/device are you using?  Try clearing your cache and trying again.

Maybe Micah will have some better ideas.

www. not needed, but yeah, you may get a prompt asking if you want to use tapatalk when opening the forum with your mobile browser, cancel that and it should show in the mobile friendlier theme...

Yeah, I didn't care for it much when I got into it last night.  After a couple minutes it was a bit better once I became familiar with the icons, but it still looks funky to me and so far, I'm not a big fan of it.  I'll have to try the mobile friendly version you guys are talking about sometime tonight.

the mobile version works in any browser, just click the "mobile" link in the footer of any page to switch...

I emailed them just to ask if there was a way to release the old versio. I doubt I'll get a reply but I hope that even if 1000+ users email them they will get the message.

So far every review on their Google Play App has been 1 star since the update.

I have regular Tapatalk on my phone (awful) and Tapatalk Pro on my Nexus 7 and it is much better.  Maybe they are screening with the free version so everyone shells out for the better version?

Tapatalk also owns AutoGuide on the android market. Which is mostly car forums, and its still easy to use. It didnt get an update!

The new Tapatalk is indeed utter crap, even accessing the sub forum list is  a pain in the butt.

The devs need to write 10000 times "if it aint broken don't smurf with it".

They updated the app again. Didn't change anything except now the app remembers the last thread you looked at and it's suppose to be faster.

Still wish I could revert back.
