FYI.

This is an AR15/M16 specific military multi tool which 'leaked' few weeks ago in the Gerber Tactical Product guide for 2015.

It's now officially listed in the main product section, too:

Cool tool and sort ot an evolution of a MP1, but of limited use to civilian market.
EDC and OCD. A wicked mix.

Looks alright. At least they put a proper blade on it.

I said about MP-1 in the other thread: it is not cheap, not small, not light, not many tools, not for me.
EDC: Black Talon, Black Cat, Spirit, LD02

Yeah, but unfortunately as Kampfer mentioned above - light on tool set.

Tool of that size should house few more tool implements, IMO.   But then again it's Gerber, and they do things only they can explain reasons for.   ;)

I have recently come to the realization that few, well working tools are better to many...

I don't own a MP-1 but that bit holder looks brilliant. Unlike the one you find on the LM which for me does not work at all.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Its our jobs that are probably different (its why I said the LM-bit-holder does not work for me). I use screwdrivers and the blade very rarely I use the pliers or the metal file.

- I cannot use the LM bit-holder without extension (Never enough reach or room). The MP-1 looks like it has a decent reach.
- If I carry the extension I might as well carry a regular bit holder (or the Vic L-piece).

It must be way cheaper than the LM MUT for someone to buy it.

Anyway, I have proper/better tools for gun cleaning.

Another one for me to acquire whenever I can. Going to see if they make it to eBay.ca sometime. :D
