Bonus points for anyone who know what the pack the Fuse is sitting on is.

We use to call them butt packs, because they would hang over you butt if you had your LBE set at the proper low hanging level.

That's still what I call them :D, surprising how much stuff you can actually fit in the damn things.

Yeah but heaven forbid you load them up and run. Have a big old bruise on your tail bone to show for it.

Nothing better than hearing the real story behind this stuff, what we're they designed to carry? I used mine mostly to keep all of my airsoft gear together back when me and my friends were into it

I got the Buck X-Tract I mentioned a while back as an extra early gift, and then the G-Shock a little early.  On the day itself, mostly cash and snack goodies.

I believe it is the 730 or 731 model....I can't remember which, but one of those two.  The one with the combo edge blade, pliers, combo opener tool, the drivers and the LED light.  Cool knife :tu:

Not sure what they we're desgined for but when I was a Private back in the 82nd in the late 80's we still had the LBE.

Most of us went out and bought the buttpack because it was not issued.

Inside we would keep a poncho liner for sure and other then that different folks would put what they thought they would need. I was always a big fan of pogie bait in mine and for a while we we're told to keep a change of socks in them.

You're lucky you're funny Harley!

The X-Tract is a pretty sweet tool as long as you realize the pliers are comical. The blade is as good as you'd expect from buck, the drivers are pretty useful, and the can opener was useful to me for a lot more than just that.

It was the first multitool I used hard and it never let me down so that sort of solidified it in my book. But the pliers really are a joke

You just beat me to posting about this ;)  I was just about to say "not this again ::)" but you pretty much summed it up well my fellow Kyle :salute:  While I can't speak from experience in terms of using mine much, I feel about the same.  It's a sweet knife with some potentially useful extras.

Here Harley, its a knife with more smurf tacked on more than anything. That's why I originally got it, I only carried a knife around then figured hey I can carry a knife that does a few other things too. So it was a multitool for someone who wasn't looking for a multitool, but the damn thing worked and hard. I'll take a few pics of mine tomorrow it doesn't look this pretty now.

Can we go with a Flashlight with bonus knife and tools :D could  the pliers relate at all to the skeletools? Size wise they look similar.
No Harley, closest I've lived east is southern Missouri.

No Harley, closest I've lived east is southern Missouri.

I would say that's a negative, the pliers aren't inherently bad, just the handle that springs out is so stubby that it's nearly impossible to get any sort of useful leverage on the thing.

Fort Hood now but I think this guy was with me at FT Stewart.

Maybe I am remembering a dream? I can see it in my head him saying something in a post here or maybe Facebook and me going hey that is so and so.

Just if that was the case I would have been like hey man hi and stuff.

I need beer.
