"Your soon to be phone."

What is it now a jelly danish?

I'd like it more if it would be; I'm still in the Alltel-to-ATT transition hell; my Nokia 635 is going to placate me until either a new flagship Windows Phone becomes available, or unless I'm just wowed by the Galaxy S6.  Our service is transitioning sometime in January, but until that occurs, I can't get a SIM card for it. :/

Thanks for the ideas.  Didn't know that a Fisher universal refill would work in the zebra telescopic pen.

It looks like the best reasonably priced small edc style pen available to me is the zebra telescopic.  May buy up a few so that I'm not without when they are no longer available (like the F301 compact).

For a more expensive option the fisher bullet looks about as good as it gets.

For someone wanting to try out a zebra I would suggest the f701 - it's full sized but a very nicely made pen and can be easily adapted to a fisher refill.  The f301 (not the compact but the full sized pen) isn't nearly as nicely made although it writes quite well.

John.

The F 701 looks nice.

Love how these are not to expensive for when, not if I lose one. Or six.

I just bought my first Fisher Bullet. I can't believe I have gone this long without trying one out yet.

At the moment, my favorite pen is a Parker Jotter with a Fisher refill.  I also always have a Fisher military in my work jacket along with a waterproof notebook.

Beware of the Fisher curse thoug. Once you get used to Fisher pens, you really notice how annoyingly often generic pens dont work properly.

Just looking online and found the fisher stowaway - uses a regular fisher refill, is made of aluminium coated with plastic and 3 7/8 in. long capped and 5 1/4 in. long when in use.  Quite thin.  On ebay its in the area of $12 cad shipped.

Has anyone had anything to do with these - any comments.  Seems like they would be great for edc or storing in a notebook if one didn't plan to write a book with it.

I'm late to this party, but wanted to chime in anyway as I have (had) a Stowaway.  Pros are that they are inexpensive, very pocketable, and use a standard Fisher refill.  Cons are that they feel kind of cheap, and their diameter is so small that some people (including me) find them uncomfortable to write with.

I generally carry either a Fisher Bullet or Parker Jotter, depending on what I'm wearing.  My wife, however, glommed on to the Stowaway and now carries it in her wallet, so it does have its fans.

L to R:  Fisher Stowaway (w/ clip), Fisher Bullet, Parker Jotter

When I first started my Profession, I used to carry expensive pens. I quickly learned to use the cheapest disposables because the first time you set that expensive pen on a flat surface, and blink...it is gone!

I lost a few that way that caused me some pain. Now I use the cheapest dollar store junk, which I carry in my suit coat pocket. Go figure.

This explains why I just bought a Fisher bullet pen...and I can safely say, it wasn't for work either.
