58mm Scissors
on: January 18, 2015, 12:59:11 AM
I also noticed that my classic has a screw-pivot in the scissors, which strikes me as odd, especially since the other advertisement classic I got at the same (9th of August 2014) time does not. This makes me wonder how equal 58mm tools are? Are scissors = scissors? Are non-SD and SD nail-files the same?

Scissors changed in 1992 from screw to rivet.
58mm nailfile (SD or not is only textured). Nail cleaner one used to be crosscut long time ago...

Your blue one is a Classic SD (screwdriver tip file) the silver one is an older
Classic (non screwdriver tip)

This does not add up for me. As I said above, I bought them together in August 2014 at the Victorinox Factory store in Ibach. I seriously doubt that they would sell a bunch of 22 year old tools.
Anyone got some insight into this?

It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Not sure what the issue is here ES.

They are different models so it stands to reason there tools might be a little different right?

It has to be new old stock since they dont make them like that anymore.  All SAKs of all sizes I buy have the new brass rivet construction for scissors.
PM me or email sakmodder [at] gmail . com if you are looking for custom SAK work.
