For the serious jobs, we go to to serious tools.... ie.; Knipex, Klien, Craftsman Industrial.

For the lighter duty, it's green bag time

Most days it's 90% Vic only.  He doesn't need a lot of help.

Yeah, it's a pretty good setup.  I love my tools.  Most everyone you see in those pics are +20 years old.  Good tools are worth the money.  Those guys haven't lived an easy life, and they are all in pretty good condition.

In response to some comments on other threads, it would seem that some folks have an issue extracting the tools from their Spirit and/or SwissTool.  I have 3 SwissTool and 2 Spirit models and do not have that issue.  It not necessary to even need the nail nicks that I can see.  To demo this I made a brief video showing me wearing cut resistant gloves and utilizing the tools on Vic.  Sorry for the production quality but I'm not a cinematographer.

Are those gloves coated with latex? They seem nice and sticky.

No, not sticky at all.  They are cut resistant Kevlar.  Activarmr PLUMBER 97-005.  Manufactured by Ansell.
I guess they are "stickier" than my fingers as I have to push my fingertips into the nail nicks to "grab" them.  I can't feel them with gloves on, but the result is the same as you can see.

Sweet. I use leather gloves for hard use and mechanics glove for everything else.
Those look like some nice gloves.

Yeah, they definitely aren't material handling gloves, but they are pretty lightweight and very tough.

Definitely shows what you've said.  Its great to see you able to access the tools while staying safe.  I've often thought a slide mechanism would be awesome for inside dwelling tools.  Kinda like the Mr Pinchy plier head but for the drivers and such on the MTs with inside tools.

So you do use the nail nicks then eh.  ;)

The gloves look "grabby" with at finger tips.  I'd imagine that helps with opening the tools but however you do it it's great you can.  Make using the Spirit doable and your job with in the safety guidelines, win/win.

The gloves really aren't particularly grabby, but I'm sure it's possible the texture could assist.  I just don't particularly notice a big difference between gloves and no gloves other than I cant feel the nail nicks.  I also use many different types of lightweight gloves.  I just wear out/ lose them on a regular basis.  In any case, everybody knows what tool I used, what the make/manufacturer of the gloves is, and seen the process.  I report....you decide :-)
