[CLOSED] Year of the outdoors GAW
on:
February 15, 2015, 12:37:29 PM
2015 has been named the year of outdoor activities. So I figured it was time to spread some more Scandi love.
The prize is this Brusletto Fangstmann:
The rules:
You have to have 100 posts or more by the time of the draw.
You have to be of legal age to own a knife.
To participate you have to state your interest in a post below and write a few words about what outdoor activities you look forward to do in 2015.
I will draw a winner on sunday a week from now.

Oh wow Grathr, that's is a beautiful knife! Very generous of you.
Not an entry, but I plan on doing more Bushcrafting, Geocaching, backpacking, hunting and target shooting. Love being outside, even working in the fields on the farm.
Good luck everyone and thanks again Grathr!
Now I am gonna look these blades up.

That's a nice knife and a great giveaway
Since getting rid of the boat, I have lost one of my main "outdoor" focuses. I hope to do a bit of cycling this year instead - nothing serious, just for a bit of fun and fitness. I also hope to do a little more in the way of country walks, as that has been missing in my life recently.
However, I m going to pass on this giveaway, as I already have a number of puukkos and would like someone else to get the benefit of this

Since everyone seems to be passing, I'll enter.
I've been wanting a proper fixed blade, preferably a scandi for a year now and I'm too cheap to even buy a Mora .. and this is helluva nicer than Mora
As the weather gets nicer I want to do some geocaching in the nearby hills (and test out my saws), than fly my drone from the top of Tampa Hill, than visit the milk caves, the muddy volcanous, maybe I'll get to finally see Bigar waterfall... ow and I'll go on a teambuilding/trekking contest on the Bucegi plateau for a week at 2400 meters.
Thank you for the chance mate.

Not entering but I wanted to say
for this most excellent give away.
This year I plan to do even more camping, hiking/exploring the California mountains, I'm also going to join the ranks of our fellow kayak enthusiasts and get out on the ocean, if thats not enough to keep me busy I really want to get a mountain bike and do some trail riding.
Best of luck to all who are entering.

This is an entry,as that's just too sweet to pass up on
I'm already planning my next pilgrimage to Wiltshire, where I want to walk more of the Ridgeway, and visit more of the Neolithic sights there,as well as getting down into the Medway Valley(maybe dragging Taxidad along too!),as well as more day hikes in and around the Blamington Hall area
Cheers mate,that's a great giveaway

This is excellent, thanks!
So far, I have a backpacking trip planned for March, and would like to go back in the fall for another long trip (it's a long trail and I'm trying to cover it all, sections at a time). In between, lots of day hikes, maybe take my little ones this year.

Thats a beauty of a G-A-W Grathr
I don’t do a lot of outdoor stuff, one or two fires while gardening and maybe a walk or two in the local Beech woods
But hopefully some camping with some slightly mad MTo’ers later on in the year

Thank for the GAW, I am in.
Would love to get out more this year if work allows that.
Battler reenactment is my true passion, been fighting in urban, forest, mountain, desert in the pass and different terrain gives totally different experience. Building trenches and bunkers are also very fun.
Love to do more.

I'm so in. Thank you for a chance in this awesome giveaway Grathr
I hereby promise to use this beautiful knife. "I had a helle fjellkniven and never used it
" with pics .
it would work wonderful for me. I'd use that around my family and friends and it wouldn't draw attention. "Unlike most of my folding knives. And little fixed blades.
I hope to do a little camping and biking next summer
I didn't do a thing but work last summer. I'm not going to waste next summer working.
I do get out a bit now but it's so cold my outdoor activities don't last very long. It's to cold lol.
thought
My family came from Norway and Sweden originally. I have very little from there. I should.
Thanks Again Grathr.

Awesome giveaway! You already hooked me up, but I just can't wait to get back out there. I don't think my bikes miss me as much as I miss them. But the fly rod hanging on the wall is just taunting me!
Not an entry, good luck everyone and Grathr you're awesome.

this is not an entry, as I have already received one of these gorgeous knives from Grathr in a previous GAW, but I will say with confidence that the winner will be very happy.
I'm going to try to do more hiking with my boys this year. today was a gorgeous, sunny day, and much warmer than usual for Februrary, so we went for a hike at a nearby wildlife refuge and had a great time. my boys are getting big enough that we can start going for some longer hikes now, so I'm looking forward to it.
Grathr, thank you for such a generous giveaway. best of luck to all the entrants!

Wow, tremendous GAW, Grathr! Count me in!
I've been talking with some friends, we did some hiking some time ago, in the cliffs near the sea at Arrábida and Sintra. We've been talking of finding new trails to go this year, as soon as the weather gets better.

Awesome giveaway mate. I think I have to throw my hat in the ring for this one. I'm heading out on Saturday for a two day paddle and camping trip and then next weekend I'm going out for a hike with a group of friends. I'm sure I'll be doing more later in the year.

Great GAW Grathr- I'll sit it out because I have a Mora, but this year I am going to spend more time in the woods and on top of hills, and I will get much more use out of my SS Swedish trangia set, and volcanostove.

No entry as I already have plenty of Mora, but very nice price.
As in 2014, 2015 will be a horse riding in my new region. I move from a wineyard area to a mountain area and there is so much trip to do here!
