They have been available for quite some time, I may have just stirred them into adding to the online store.

Maybe the Alox knives do not sell to well here in the USA?

Seems like if it sold as well as we liked it around here selling it here would be a no brainer.

This is not the first time a standard color of a tool or knife looks great but does not do it for me.

I think the US silver Alox with red shield would be something I had to have if it was not the regular old model.

colours do cost more than natural anodising, the price difference for these is about $1-2.

As Shark_za said somewhere else, Sharp Edge look after us fans and collectors pretty well, like the Danish importers do. They've run a fantastic shop and agency for decades. I suppose if the North American importer is more focused on mass retail sales, they won't go through the hassle of special orders for a relatively small portion of their market

We really need a SA MTO person, with a little entrepreneurial ambition.

I'd pay $10 service fee to anyone who wanted to box up and mail me a couple Farmers.

(Plus the cost of the Farmers and postage  ;))

Shipping from South Africa via UPS for a 5 pound package with a declared value of $400.00 [9 Farmers] shipped to the east cost of United States is approximately $250.00.
