Oh that looks nice! I got two little bundles of fire wood and a box full of twigs, soon I’d like to just sit out and enjoy the cool air but the warmth radiating off a fire!

There was a free event in my hometown today of which I didn't know anything. I just happened to pass by.

The city churchtower is the tallest one in the region and is therefore reffered to as "the giant".

It's been many years since my climbing adventures in the Alps, so this was just delightfull.

A couple days ago I was whinging in another thread about not getting out before the sun disappeared for the day.
So yesterday I got all my chores done early and then grabbed the camera to get yous some pics of where I bike.

Kids down on the fields rugby training. My destination for this ride is that gap in the trees up on the ridge.

The first km is pretty mellow, there are a few roots to jump but mostly it's just winding through the trees.

Then there is a short but fun section with up and downs, a dodgy bridge and lots of holly and other prickly things to avoid.

Interesting seat angle... mine points down... perhaps the angle is the reason I get a sore arse.  :dunno:

It is normally a little more level. Last time I flipped the bars the seat moved and I haven't got around to sorting it.
I didn't enjoy the seat when I first started riding but now it doesn't seem too bad.
Slight changes to the setup have helped. Putting more weight on the legs also feels good.

Then there is some boring footpath and a short road section.
Turn right after the bridge, lug the bike up some stairs and over a fence, then sweat buckets peddling up the hill.

There is a fair bit of slippery rock to deal with going along the tops.
Trees tend to shade the track and from this time of year on the frost just sits.
A couple kms later and we're at the gap.

Bonus points if you can spot the rugby grounds in the middle of the pic.
