Wow, beautiful! We walked or I should say I went for a morning walk with her today, did about 4mi, then we got home she kept walking, I took care of the dog but then took him out and surprised her since she was in the field across the street,

Is that walkway a fairly new concept? (I realise most of the tracks that make it up have been there for yonks.)

I think I read somewhere that it's the remains of old totara trees up there.
Once upon a time (pre- humans) 95% of Banks Peninsula was covered in forest.

After talking with the local rūnanga it was renamed approx five years ago.

Plenty of tōtara stumps up there as well as living tōtara. People in all the pics so didn't post them.

Great pics.  My youngest and I walked the beach looking for sea glass.  We get so engrossed with our talks and looking we always forget to take pictures.  Guess thats a good thing.  At 21 now I take advantage of any and every moment we spend since she so busy with work, school, sorority, and everything else a young girl has in her life.
