Leatherman charge tti mod help
on: February 25, 2015, 05:57:23 PM
Okay so I want to put a spatula attachment on my leatherman that can fit in the removable bit driver. I have a stainless spatula but the problem is the handle is too thin to just grind down to size and fit in the driver. So my thinking is I will attach the spatula handle to a grinded down 1/4 inch bit and that will fit in. My question is what would be the best way to attach the stainless handle to the bit? Here's kind of a sketch of what I'm thinking any other advice on how I should go about doin this would be great thanks!

You could get one of the long bits for a Mut  drill a couple of holes in it and attach to the spatula with some rivets or machine screws.

Why not try to shape the spatula to fit the pocket clip lanyard ring place?

it will never be able to handle such torque on some so tiny pin.

Even in the bit driver i wouldn't try to hold a t-bone steak of 300g.

That's actually a great idea I won't be flipping big steaks or nothin I will only be flipping a couple burgers here and there out on the lake ice fishing and stuff. Maybe camping. I'm going to try that! If it breaks I guess I'll try something new.

If that's the case why not just hold it with the pliers   ;)

It's more of a novelty mod for my leatherman.. Like a conversation starter.. Like I'm sitting around grilling out with my buddies and say oh time to flip the burgers let me get my leatherman out. They'll all be thinking what?? Then see it and think it's pretty slick
