Thanks for posting this earlier. I jumped on it quickly hoping to get a Pink Cadet, but they were gone. I did get a Green Bantam. I've been wanting a green Cellidor 84mm

Question: For future reference, if I run across a good opportunity on a SAK only item, would people prefer we posted it here rather than in the "Deals and Auctions"? If this post hadn't been made here, I probably wouldn't have seen it for some time.

Not quite as good a deal as a rare Pink Cadet, I did recently find some Red Cadets at REI at a good price, $22.93 (if you can take advantage of the free shipping.) They appear to still have some. http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,58214.0.html

My apologies to all. I do know about the existence of the deals and auction thread but I guess in my excitement and eagerness to bring the news to my fellow SAK enthusiasts quickly before the stocks are cleared out, I decided to post in this sub-forum instead.

Hey kosmos, I just remembered that you are into 84mm. Apart from the green cellidor bantam, did you get the red nylon scaled watch knife as well? IIRC, it is also 84mm??

Not yet. It's on my mind to pick one up, but I've been finding other 84mm knives lately. Perhaps, I can find an 84mm Cellidor folding watch case opener? There appears to be one in this photo from SAKWiki (with a visible toothpick):

How could I miss the chance of getting a pink alox cadet? I really need one.
This is one of the disadvantages of moving, and trying to to find all my computer-communications components among a bunch of boxes. Anybody has one "extra" pink cadet that wants to sell?

Yup. Got my tracking numbers too. Also ends with "NL".

Interestingly, they sent out the 4 different knives I ordered in 4 separate packages, even though I mentioned in my message at the end of each transaction that I would be buying other knives and that they could pack everything into a single package... Perhaps worldwide shipping from NL is very cheap??

I had intended to show some photos of the green SA Pioneer in a previous thread but forgot

and this thread has reminded me.

As usual with Victorinox, there are several shades of each colour, here`s what I`ve got by way of comparison of the green ones.

The first photo shows, from L>R, Olive Green Cadet, SA Pioneer, Danish Cadet and Green Cadet.

The second one shows the Danish Cadet, Dark Green Classic and SA Pioneer.

The third one shows the Danish Cadet and the SA Pioneer.

It appears to me that the Danish and SA shades are the same, the Classic is very dark and they are all noticeably darker than both the "standard" Green Cadet and Olive Cadet.

It will be interesting to see where the new Farmers fit into Vic`s colour palette.

The South Africam Farmer I have is slightly lighter than the South African Solo I have. I battle to photograph these greens but they are noticeably different side by side. Not sure where the German one lies in relation

Some informations from the shop. They will restock the green farmers in
a couple of weeks and in the near future they will offer more Cadets,
Pioneers and Farmers in different colors.
