Just push them closed. There is no locking mechanism.

The slipjoint is really strong on the wingman/sidekick. It is something I really like about those tools.

Welcome!
You probably heard a little click when you opened the tools. It's the tool getting "locked" in place. There's a small indent in the back of the tool that helps it to stay in place. To close it, you need to apply some force to make the spring move a little and let it release the tool.
Increase the pressure slowly, so as to not have the tool close to fast on your fingers.

Needs garlic
I took the scissors off to modify my Wave, and reground them. As they come, the cutting edges are too high off the pivot axis which reduces cutting depth and pushes material out rather than cutting it. It didn't take much regrinding to improve them though.

I prefer Gerber scissors ,they are super sharp. it can cut fishing braided line.
cutting braided fishing line is the yard stick to measure scissors performance.
usually most scissors will fail.

I haven't really used the inside tools of my Wingman such that I also forgot how to close them!
You can also use the "clumping" technique -- carefully lift up a tool halfway which would apply pressure on the locking mechanism. This will soften the locks and will allow you to fold down the locked tool.
