CRKT Press Release:

Tualatin, Oregon, U.S.A.— April 15, 2015
On The Lake Or On The Town CRKT’s Latest Knife Is Ready to Go
CRKT® is releasing the Ken Onion-designed Hootenanny™. A classy everyday carry folder, it feels equally
at home cleaning a duck as it does getting cleaned up to go out for the night.
The stylish drop point blade tears through tasks while grooves on the spine provide you with detailed finger
control. It’s the perfect combination of strength with finesse. However this knife really shows off when it
comes time to open it. An oversized pivot system looks cool and an IKBS™ ball bearing system deploys the
blade smoothly and effortlessly.
The Hootenanny™ is yet another in a long line of knives created by award-winning knifemaker Ken Onion.
Never at a loss for ideas, Ken designed the blade to be a cross between hunting and bird knives and everyday
carry folders. With an exceptional fit and finish it easily and stylishly crosses categories.
If you’re looking for a knife that gives you the best of both worlds in hunting and everyday carry tasks the
Hootenanny™ is the one to grab.

Dear Mr. Onion,

While I love your designs (a Scallion has been my favorite EDC blade for over a decade now), please remember that some of us are left-handed and find a reversible clip desireable.

Sincerely,
Tom

:imws:  Make left handed knives please.

So much I like about that knife. The design and placement of the clip however isn't one of them.

Left handed knives should cost more as they are special order, Modified,  knives :D

for years we used to get told that left handed cars cost more as they had to be made specially for countries like Cyprus, Uk, Japan.... even Japanese cars

This was, of-course, just an excuse so the dealers could charge more money..

I agree with both of these statements above.

The name is fine. Maybe you are saying it too fast. Try saying it really slow.  Hoo.... Te... Nanny. No, you're right, it has to go. :)

Baby got back!

I'm not sure if I like it. I'm a huge fan of Ken. But the grind or shape or something just seems off.

That could be it

I just can't pick it.

I'm an even bigger fan of Rick Hinderer knives.

But there are still a few of his I just don't agree with.

Kinda like the leatherman rev (or signal, or tread.) We all like LM most of the time, but there are just certain models that irk us when we see them.
