This is my first, proper, Chinese watch. This does not claim to be anything else (copy/immitate) and the company actually has a proper website for their products. http://www.weidewatch.com/   (they seem to make the ronda watches too..)

Weide WH1009

http://www.SPAMCORP.com/sports-led-watches/pp_211709.html   $13.48 currently

There are various colour variations but the one I chose seemed to be the best looking, to me.

The reviews on SPAMCORP and Bangood were favourable and i really liked its look.

It is a two "engine" watch, with a standard analogue watch movement and a separate digital one.

What is interesting is that the digital LED display is not visible normally (you can not guess that it has one) and it appears when you press the buttons.  It has time, alarm and date (with year so it should take care of leap years).

The bezel rotates so you can use the watch as a timer too. It claims to have a Japanese movement for the analogue and digital modules.

The Glass is hardened.

Overall it looks nice, though a bit too shiny.

The buttons and the rest of the watch operate well and feel solid. It comes with a large metal band, with a safety clasp.

There is branding on the watch and the clasp.

The back of the case has some information regarding it, printed rather than engraved on it.

It is large, but not too large - look normal and expensive.

The downside?
I was aware of the limited, claimed water resistance -30m

The red LED does not look classy.... but you do not have to use it often.

I have no idea how robust the paint and the watch are (good reviews though). I was going to get the plain SS one, but this one just looked more interesting.

Looks funny! You can use that without fear of damaging it. Let us know how it performs in a few weeks.

Looking at my current watch collection album, (which is by nature in reverse chronological order) my latest seems to be the Casio DBC-610. (DBC = DataBank Calculator) I wish I could've afforded one of these in the 80s. So now, I'm living the dream with my "retro smart watch," as I refer to it. Even today, the calendar at the top is useful, along with the usual stopwatch, timer, alarm, calculator, and World Time. The Telememo is not as useful as it once was, but it is a good back-up for a cell phone; just put the most important numbers in it; ones that can't be looked up in case of cell phone loss.

^ That one is fun, but I have to be in the right mood for it.

I got the Invicta 8926OB at about the same time. It's an automatic mechanical watch; maybe the complete opposite of the above Casio! At a glance, it looks just like an $8k Submariner. (it was ~$85, so 1/100 of the cost) Bracelet is good, as is the Seiko movement. I like it more than I thought I would. Bezel action is good but not great.

Invicta are a good brand - I gave a Lady model   :P one as a present and it has been used hard for 2 years with no damage to the glass or the crystals.

I used to admire those calculator watches in the 80s and now that I can get one myself my fingers have grown too fat to actually be able to use the buttons

thumbs up to the Casio calculator watch. I was fortunate to get one for Christmas 1985.

I am sorry, I do not own a Raysman. Soeme men, liek a Lungman, Gaussman, Riseman, Mudman and even a Mr., but no Riseman.
All of those are available, though...
The black Codename I have is pictured in my G-shock sales thread and I´ll put some batteries in the other one and take a pic. It´s one with textile strap and grey/silver case.

I just got this Lorus Titanium watch. Its nothing fancy, but its light and not very thick. Hardly notice it on the wrist.

I actually bought it for nostalgic reasons, as Lorus watches has served me well in the past.

My first watch was a Lorus. My father insisted that I should have a proper watch, and not one of those gimmicky kids watches with funny hands that did not last.  I carried it for years until I bought my first digital watch, a casio.

Many years later, when I was in the Army, I broke the Casio i was wearing ( not the same one), and I had to get a new one. I didnt have much money, and wanted a simple analog watch, so I got a simple Lorus sports watch with a rubber strap, wich lasted for years.

A few weeks ago, I stumbeled upon this one on Ebay, and I just had to get it. :)
