RIP Richard Simmons
on: July 13, 2024, 10:50:18 PM
He was a household name and frequent guest star on every talk show going, Richard was always the absolute king of positive energy- even when everyone around him was making fun of him.

I remember him as a guest star on many shows back into the 70's, and I really liked him, even when it wasn't cool to like him.

He was directly responsible for the absolute funniest segment ever on Who's Line Is It Anyway:

For the last decade though, he has been strangely silent and absent from the public eye, and this appears to have been largely due to him suffering from skin cancer.

He emerged from his self imposed exile recently to inform the world that the upcoming unauthorized biopic of him starring Pauly Shore was, on no way was approved by him.

I have to say, after seeing this short I think Pauly absolutely nailed it.

RIP Richard- this world won't be the same without you.

He was a character.  I remember him from his glory days.

He was a great one and I remember how much of an impact he had on fitness during the 80s and early 90s :salute:

Who can forget all those sweating to the oldies videos :D
