kind of... wife (then GF) was the one living in London and who did the flat hunting... but we did end up in 2 different flats in the area... It was a nice area, and living on the Jubilee line made getting around pretty painless...

it was so long ago since we were in London that the Thames was still under pirate attack...

no idea, wasn't close enough to see... it just happened as we were out for one of our walks to tower bridge (and they opened the bridge for them) plus my old digital camera has horrid resolution...

  • Armed with camera and not afraid to use it.
Definitely not the Golden Hind. The Golden Hind would have a more archaic shape to it. That one in the photo is probably a good 200 or so years newer.
A little Leatherman information.

The ship in Whoey's pic is a replica of Captain Cook's Endeavour:tu:

That info does coincide with the photos date of 16 Nov 2003...

Quote
After a major refit in Fremantle during late 2001 and early 2002, the replica sailed in February for a second round-the-world voyage.[13] The ship sailed to Whitby via Cape Horn; wave footage shot while rounding the cape was later used for digitally composited scenes in the 2003 film Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.[13][14] She spent most of the next two years on display, either in Whitby, or during visits to ports in the United Kingdom and Europe.[13]
