found another old one and this time I have the matching new one ... ok 1970's :)

The old one still has original oil on it :)

Any ideas when the case opener changed ?

Are you sure the first one, in the first post, is a watchcase opener? How sharp is it / does it look to have been?

Looks a lot like a ink eraser knife.

Edit: or not. ;) But interesting knives for sure.

Well Roamer and Nivada are old swiss watch brands and neither of the little blades are sharp I would even say the modern case opener is a little sharper.

Not nearly sharp enough for an ink eraser ... wish it was I have a small collection of them even a couple of victorinox :)
