Need some help IDing this SAK from the 40's
on: May 05, 2015, 10:12:16 PM
Anyone know the model?
Anyone know how much it's worth?
Anyone know if Victorinox has the ability to replace the scale even though it's out of production?

Blade is engraved Hoffritz. It's stamped "+ Armee Suisse" on the front and "Victoria Switzerland Stainless" on the back.

It's in between 1942-1949 as far as I know.

Besides the two blades being scratched and dull, all the tools are in excellent condition.

Looks like a Model 234U from c. 1949 - 1952. Commonly called a "Spartan" or "Standard" today. I doubt Victorinox could fix the scale since those scales have been out of production for over 60 years, but you never know.
