The trusty Kick cleaned the mildew blocking the dehumidifier line today.  The pump then ran continuously for a while when it shouldn’t so I popped off the cover to check the humidity sensor and make sure it’s actually pumping.  Took waaaay too long to get to the humidistat..

Once I turned it back on it hit the set humidity, shut off, and works normal. Go figure…

And now this morning the kids will learn how to replace the glide on their toy chest lid, because apparently my toddler can exert enough downward force to bend the glide when it’s held in the open position.

I’m considering getting both my boys a kick and replacing knife with scissors, another driver, or file. The handles still have some hot spots, but they seem to like the feel of the Kick frame. I think that would be a good cheap starter for them.

Great pic and glad you got the dehumidifier working again :salute: :like:

Thanks, Poncho. Let’s hope!  :tu:

Swapping scissors into them, they would be an excellent starter MT for them (and for many people actually) :salute: :like: :like:

I would also get them a SAK (depending on age) and watch over them as they learn to use a blade :tu:

That’s the goal.  Too young for real blades as of now.  My  4 year old is into using pliers and screw drivers. He wants his own MT as his Style PS is too small for real work. Kids gonna run a rig of some kind for work or take over the family farm I think.  :multi:

I found a rusty bucket of paint that hadn't dried up and did some outdoor touch-up work before the cold weather moves in.  Several wasps came by to check out what was going on.  The Leatherman is a Kick.  Might be my favorite.  Best wishes.  G

At 4, that is awesome!  My little girl was 5 or 6 when she first started wanting a MT or a SAK :tu: she is 16 now and has a few of each :salute: definitely worth getting kids into tools and knives young so they can be more self sufficient  8) :like:

Took along my Kick on a woods walk.  I waded through the little creek to check out my duct tape boot patch.  It actually worked.  Waterproof.  Short term anyway.  Best wishes.  G

The tree in the photo is an alder.  The little stream used to be lined with them, since they grow by water.  The deer destroyed most of them by scrubbing their antlers on the bark until it killed the trees.  There are some left, but many of them are bowed over like the one I perched the Kick on.
Long ago, people thought these trees had people's souls in them.  If you cut into one, the sap looks like blood.  Best wishes.  G :D

We actually wound up with a white Christmas up here!  Looking good everyone!  I need to replace the Blast I once had.  That Kick looks good Gary.

Friend cnlson gave me that Kick last Christmas.  It is actually my favorite Leatherman.  Some people don't like the lack of outside tool access or the zytel liners.  Those are my two favorite things, I think.  It was tight as could be, but it works much smoother now.  Best wishes.  G

I don't mind either myself Gary.  I had a Blast quite awhile ago.  I am going to replace it soon, I think.
