Today the SwissTool helped open a box of tea bags to take to one of the "Italian connection" over Christmas  :twak:

I look forward to weekend projects with the Spirit X. Now that I have the Midnite MC and Explorer, I find they pair well. A bit of overlap in tool sets, but these are the ones I’ll primarily utilize specific to each tool. The combo tool is the exception, but recently I’ve pulled out the Explorer more to use it.

Had the silver Swisstool X for 20 years, bought the BS, Victorinox made it a X for me, changed the serrated blade for scissors and the cap crimper plier for a normal one. Been very happy with it.

Awesome! How did you get them to make it customer for you? Do they offer that service? Very cool tool, BTW!!

Thanks, i just asked nicely if this was possible. Would not have bought a black one otherwise, i need those scissors often. They even let me keep the blade, wanted it for a future project of a modded sak:P

How do you guys like the pocket clip on a Spirit?

Been eyeing one for a bit now.

I like it. I am not sure I like the one hand opening on my MX clip as much as I thought I would. I seem to prefer the original version and like how it slips in a pocket with ease. I would add a clip to that version and have been looking at doing just that for my BS variants.

Never been a huge OHO proponent for multi tools. Love my Spydercos though.

Ordered this for my butter blade Spirit and am strangely excited about it.

Probably my favorite multi tool if additional accessories are not factored into the equation. Great Phillips driver, excellent selection of flatbladed drivers including a go small driver, outside opening tools, immunity to rust, blister pack opener/scraper and I could go on.

Yep time to ditch the Cybertool me thinks.

Now we are cooking.

Messing around with my Spirit a little bit this morning got me thinking while I don’t hate the butter blade something with a regular knife blade would be better. Maybe in black.

I've used both.  While I only have a Butter blade at the moment, you can never have too many Swisstools  :D

The Clip is awesome, they invented that in 2021? its for a tool they made in 1997 (98 with the new elongated hole) Those madlads are in it for the long game.
Btw. a little trick i invented, you can put a splitring on the end of the clip, work very well mit normal ones from a 91mm sak, this is an older picture with 15mm splitrings, the sak ones work better

A bit of pliers work. Kiddo did the ratchet and left me to do the final tightening. The nuts got a tiny bit gnarled but he was so adamant I use daddy’s tool and not his tool. Oh well they’re cheap IKEA that can be replaced.

On a side note: we have 2 of these couches and the covers are removable/washable. If you have small kids or pets these are a great idea. That’s what we were doing replacing clean covers.
