Pretty cool Instructable.

I think I might have to try this out... gotta find a spare Micra first though...

Hmpf. I thought someone has (finally) added a magnifying glass to a Utilikey.  ::)

Looks... redundant.

Yes but you put a link to show how it's done ;) Plus I believe the keyman was only half a Micra were as this one still has the scissor intact and holds more keys @least that's what I get out of it  :D

better than what I did, I put a small keychain sized sak on a key duplicator and grinded a blade and the nail file into the key pattern. Then I had a key to each bike in a SAK. I lost it a while later.

And zero extra keys!  :D

Gonna go out this week and have some of mine duplicated- it's a good idea to have spares anyway, and I don't.

Funny you should mention that- Michigan was going to outlaw multitools a few years ago for exactly that reason!

Micra is here, ready to be operated on.  I'll see which of my keys might be suitably sized and try to get a few cut over the weekend.

I have to say, I am really excited about this mod, if it can work.  I like having spare keys around, and this seems like an ultra convenient way to do it, plus you can leave it in plain site and no one will think to look for your keys in it!  Great for those piddly public lockers at the gym!

Hey, I still firmly believe that pants are necessary when using power tools.  If you are careful when you put them over your head you don't need safety glasses!  :D

Looking at the Micra it looks like I can fit 4 keys in it, so I figured I would do one key for each of my cars, and my two house keys.  The car keys are somewhat large, so I didn't think they would fit, but as you can see from the comparisons below, they should turn out ok.

I'll try and get some spares cut this weekend, but I doubt I'll do much with this mod until I get home from Maine.
