There is quite a bit of contention on this point.

I think it is generally agreed upon that the entirety of the MP600 series are US made.

The Freehand/Diesel and Flik are under debate. Some say they are made completely in China, some say the Plier heads are made in China and some say these models are made in the US.

FWIW, the packaging for my Freehand and Diesel say "Made in the USA" and the plier heads look significantly different than the Chinese models. Not sure about the Flik.

I was pretty certain that the Flik was made in Taiwan, with a plier head from China?

Can't comment on a Diesel- I have one on the way but I doubt the box/packaging is still with it.

Since I never throw anything away(according to my wife) :D.  First is a diesel package and second is a Flik.

When one is china and the other part taiwan I dont think it really matters which way.  Basically wrong either way :(.
I just found a Gerber 600 box that came from gerber about a month or so ago for a warranty replacement. It says basically the same thing as the diesel box.  Made is USA  of USA and imported parts.

My Diesel box says Made in USA. :)  Good news.

(Although I would prefer that they stamp USA on the tool itself)
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

I know there was a lawsuit against LM so they had to remove USA from the Tools.  But how does Gerber still get away with Putting USA on some of there tools when they are using imported parts?

I tech-ed for a musical instrument manufacturer who had parts made in Mexico and elsewhere and put them onto instruments and amps labeled "made in USA." It was my understanding that the region where the majority of the product actually becomes that product is it's labeled origin. Thus an instrument with Mexican and Chinese parts assembled in the USA can be claimed "made in the USA."
