How to back up my phone?
on: June 12, 2015, 03:49:06 AM
The widget in question is a Motorola Moto X running Android 4.4.4

I was able to back it up one time, about six months ago. I've gathered a lot of data on it and I'd like to back it up, but I don't want to back it up to my Google drive due to a finite amount of bandwidth and no good access to secure WiFi, so I'm trying to move it to my PC via USB. I was able to drag and drop some documents, but with over a thousand items I want to move moving two and three at a time doesn't work. And I can't figure out why it is only letting me move a few files at a time either.

I can't find a procedure for this online that works. Does anyone here know of a way that is reliable?

If you have a a removable micro sd card, you can copy all your stuff to it and then put the micro sd in its adapter if you have one and your set!

Nah, just a sim card. Next phone is going to have removable media for this reason.

I ended up just moving them off in batches of ten at a time, while watching a movie last night.  :-\
