Awesome, Chako! I always admire it when people put lots of effort into collecting, organizing and taking care of something for years When it comes to coins, I have the weird habit of wondering what a certain coin was traded for, what it bought, did it feed a hungry person, did it buy someone's present, did anyone die for it..
It is a good set up for protecting coins...and also a little easier to store them over the long term. Don't get me started on stamp collecting. My mother was so much into that that I inherited 10 binders full of her world stamp collection...above my own. I stopped collecting stamps mostly about the time I stopped collecting coins, even though I still actively collect Canadian First Day Covers.

Those "cases" are called 2X2's. If you buy a whole box of 2X2's you can also use the box to store them.

Yeah huh, and I'm guessing those fit in those binders, cause those pages are kinda cheap too, something like $5 for ten pages, that would fit a good amount.JR

As I mentioned before the oldest USA coin I have is the 1842 Large Cent. It could of been in a soldiers pocket during the Civil War. Abraham Lincoln could of bought something with it. The amount of things the coin could of seen and the amount of people to handle the coin is incredible.

Those things are huge, let alone heavy! But I think I might have to do some looking into those 2x2s and binder with those pages, that would be nice, would definetly make it easy to sort out and see what mint it came from, just mark the cardboard rather then squinting every time, lol..JR

You have to buy 2X2's for specific sizes. So for the Eisenhower's you would buy the 2X2's to fit that. You would not want to use the same 2X2 on a cent though as it would not hold it secure. You could use a nickle 2X2 for a cent though. They have 2X2's for every size and you would want to buy the correct size for each coin you plan on putting in them. Scroll down until you see the cardboard 2X2's and it will make sense. http://www.davescollectiblecoins.com/supplies/
Me and the little guy just dumped the change jar out and went through it. Amazingly not one wheat penny, yet on the other hand found a bunch of other stuff, the little guy got a kick out of the state quarters, but I could care less, another thing that Cought his attention were the shield pennies, so he kinda started his own collection of them, but something that Cought my attention were those other pennies, ones with the other backing..JR
