26-in-1 screwdriver
on: June 21, 2015, 02:07:08 AM
The name of the tool is 26-in-1 screwdriver,  but they used some questionable math to get there in my opinion

the best part,  this was $6.99 with a $6.99 mail in rebate (for store credit,  but we shop there a lot)

you get the following screwdriver and 12 bits.

included bits are:
CR-V 1/8   (Flat)
CR-V 3/16 (Flat)
CR-V 1/4   (Flat)
CR-V S2
CR-V T-10
CR-V T-15
CR-V T-20
CR-V T-25
CR-V PH 0
CR-V PH 1
CR-V PH 2
CR-V PH 3

The bits are cheap, like most cheap drill/driver sets you find at a hardware store.  I might actually see if I can find upgraded versions and trick this cheapy out some.

the back of the driver has a spinning cap design for releasing bits

the front also has the same design,  each side holds 6 bits.

the driver shaft can be pulled out and placed on the other side for a stubby driver.
This is that crazy math, 12 bits stubby + 12 bits long + 1/4" driver stubby + 1/4" driver long = 26

the bit release has half stops between each bit magazine spot to prevent unintended bit release.

the driver is your standard magnetic retention.

and here it is what it looks like with all bits stored, and in stubby mode (space saver mode)

I am actually rather pleased with this tool.  I can throuw this in my bag, and be happy just knowing it is there.

I bought it at Menards

if the rebate was not "limit one"  I would have picked up 4 of them.  One for Home, One for Work, One for the car, and One for my bag.

oh well, I will watch for a normal price drop to say $4 then I will get some more

26 tools!? That's even more misleading than Victorinox.

Nice little screwdriver though, looks like a good deal.

soon I think Victorinox will double the tool count of all SAKs and add one, since you can use those tools with either hand, and it is a paper weight.

I bet they have not noticed this marketing gem yet
